Lounge Cocktail: Pumpkin
Eater Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater. Actually we have no idea why this is called Pumpkin Eater but there is a joke in here somewhere. Ingredients: Add ice and ingredients into a blender and blend well. Serve in a house glass and garnish with an orange wedge and cherry. |
Hmmmmm:Why do you need a driver's license to buy liquor when
you can't drink and drive? |

Crash,

The True Meaning Of Pictures Documentary about a photographer born in Hazard Kentucky who comes back to the Appalaichian region to document the mountain people of the region. We enjoyed most of this movie very much but feel the photographer makes excuses for his work. Very dramatic images of the culture of the region but with a slightly morbid focus. We feel he jeopardizes the historical value of the images by posing his subjects when the everyday life would be dramatic enough. Worth seeing. Fever Pitch Romantic comedy about a career driven woman (Drew) and a Red Sox super fan (Jimmy) finding some common ground. We thought this movie was really funny even though there is a serious lack of gratuitous sex and explosions. Filmed during the year the curse of the Bambino was broken and the Red Sox win the world series. Funny movie and a great date film. Public Enemy Do not really remember what this movie is about. |
Crash Almost an art film making a point about human nature, society and fate. More of a film about coincidence. Although there was car jackings and action we found it to be a bit of a sleeper. The Lords Of Dogtown A film based on the story of the Zephyr skateboard team in Venice California who revolutionized skateboarding in the 70's. We liked this movie but you should rent Dogtown and Z-Boys, the documentary about the Zephyr Team. The Lords of Dogtown were surfers turned skateboarders. They blended their crafts to create skateboarding as we know it today. The film covers the trials and tribulations of kids approached by fame. Some grasp it, some ignore it and some could not handle it. Anybody who was a teenager in the 70's will enjoy this film. The soundtrack is full of AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin. 3 thumbs up and a nod. Transporter 2 Starring the same guy from the first Transporter. Lots of action. Lots of gun slingin'. Excellent action. See it. 5 thumbs up and a shot of tequila. |

Beef brisket is an easy preparation for a great meal. It will fill your house with that inviting home cooking smell. The leftovers are great for sandwiches or stews. We rubbed our brisket in Knox's Chipotle BBQ dry rub.Use your favorite dry rub or follow the recipe below for a simple and tasty dry rub you can make yourself. • 3 lb. or larger beef
brisket Preheat oven to 350 degrees. |
Sprinkle salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper over brisket and rub into meat. Slice onions and spread out in the bottom of a roasting pan and pour in some wine, about a cup. Place brisket fat side up on onions. Cover with tin foil and bake for 3 1/2 hours. Uncover and bake for another 10 or 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for about 10 minutes before slicing across the grain. Serve warm with mashed potatoes and beer. |
